About

Hatch Architects is obviously plural, but it's really just me at the moment, Alexandra Bohler, an architect born, raised, and living in Dayton, Ohio. I went to Stivers School for the Arts and then Cornell University, earning a B.S. in Urban and Regional Studies. After a brief stint with Teach for America in Philadelphia, I earned my Master of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

I am particularly interested in what I'd call "community architecture." Design can truly impact a community both physically and emotionally, and I'd like to help play a role in that. I'm also passionate about teaching. (I'm an adjunct at Sinclair.) Through teaching and project work, I hope to inspire future designers and hatch more community-minded architects.

Coming soon: Hatch Architects Design Center! Our mission is to enhance the community by empowering students with design skills and knowledge while simultaneously improving our built environment. We are particularly focused within the City of Dayton and are planning some fun workshops for this summer!
